Abiquiu is located in Rio Arriba County just northwest of Santa Fe between Chama and Santa Fe along US Highway 84 on the banks of the Rio Chama River near the Abiquiu Reservoir and the Santa Fe National Forest. Abiquiu is in the North Central New Mexico region.
