Ernest L. Blumenschein Home

The Ernest L. Blumenschein is the restored home of the artist and co-founder of the original Taos Society of Artists. Portions of the adobe house were built in 1790; other sections were added when Blumenschein purchased it in 1919. The house, which contains original antique furnishings, now serves as a showcase for paintings by other Taos painters as well as the work of Ernest and Mary Blumenschein and their daughter, Helen. Closed Jan.1, Thanksgiving and Dec.25. Located two blocks west of historic Taos Plaza on Ledoux Street. Admission is charged. A combination ticket is available with Kit Carson Home and Museum and Martinez Hacienda.
