Logan New Mexico

Logan is in Quay County, and in the Northeast New Mexico region. Logan is located at the crossroads of US Hwy 54 and State Hwys 39 and 469, just north east of Tucumcari.

Logan was named after a United States Marshal and an old ex-Texas ranger_Eugene Logan_, who was injured in helping move the Marlow boys from one jail to another, and Logan came into existence when the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad came through to build the railroad bridge. J.H. Conlin was superintendent and M. Bishop was superintendent of bridge construction. The only significant land mark at this time was a little cedar tree on the north bank of the river.
